F-Dog Rumbles Tourney

BETHELEM, PA — The F-DOG from Bethelem, PA rumbled the tourney over the weekend near Cooperstown, PA. Frank Frey, aka F-Dog, fired 50 points at Wedgewood Golf Course. He nearly broke 90 for the first time this season, however did manage to shoot his lowest stroke total of the season.

"I needed this to get my confidence in breaking 90. I don't know if it's going to put me in position to win, but it felt good," said Frey. "The other guys are getting higher with their points this season and I felt an adjustment in my game was necessary."

Frey removed all triple bogeys from his round at Wedgewood, which is extremely rare for Frey. "It was a delight to not be given a reason to throw clubs," says Frey. "The birdie on Hole 9 was the highlight of the day."

F-Dog rumbled into 15th position in the 2005 Virtual Tournament with 45.4 points per round. Frey is expected to sign for the 2006 Carl Spackler Open in the next few weeks. "I am not saying that I will win anything this year, however do plan to make an impact in 2006," says F-Dog. "How do you like that for temporary confidence?"

The 2005 Virtual Tournament completes in 32 days.  Jean Dore currently holds first position while Matt Davis has a strong handle on 83rd position.
