COLUMBUS, OH — Greg Long, born 37 years ago, has tapped into the record books yet again after posting a 22-over 93 at Scarlet course inside Ohio State University. Long who hit 12 tree trunks or limbs in the first nine holes stuck around the course tavern afterwards to answer a few questions for the local media.

Playing partner and senior member John McAninch asked, "How did you like your ass kicking today?" Long replied, "I do not see it as losing. I see it as adding points towards my next major championship. Plus I have 4 kids now."

Slick carded three 6's, two 7's, and one snowman during his round.

He (John) suggested, "Are you going to make that your excuse ever time you suck?" Long replied, "Flanagan has 4 kids. He has broken 93 strokes just once. There is a reason for that. I have 4 kids under 4 1/2 years old. How many kids do you have?"

McAninch asked, "Are you kidding? You three-putted twice on the back nine and putted off the green twice." Long replied, "That is true. I am probably getting a new putter in two weeks. I hear new equipment fixes everything."

John laughs and says, "Do you realize how bad you played today? You shot and 82 a couple of weeks ago." Long replied, "I only had 3 kids and a pregnant wife two weeks ago. Anyone can shoot 82 with 3 kids. I played great for a man with 4 kids. I played 'lights out' when you consider their ages. I have 4 strokes to shave to break Flanagan's all-time Spackler record.

Long carded a lone par on the back nine on Tuesday. The par at the 18th hole was saved with a 50 foot birdie putt from 10 yards short of the green.

McAninch asks, "You are an idiot. Do you think you will break 90 in the near future?" Long replied, "Not sure. Breaking 90 seems easy, but that is because you do not have 4 kids. I do not know an amateur who has cracked 90 with 4 kids. It would be something special if I could do it. I might get lucky."

John says, "So beating you today means nothing." Long replies, "No. It means something, but you are so negative. You need to be more positive. The glass is half full. Why are we ignoring the shot of the day? We should be talking about my putt from under a tree 75 yards short of the green. It should have been on ESPN's Top 10 Plays of the day."

Slick scored just 47 points on Tuesday. He continues to mull over the possibility of participating in next month's Golfapalooza XII. The major would be his 10th straight.

Partner John McAninch shot a 18-over 89 at the Scarlet course on Tuesday. The round included several long-bomb putts and a lot of leg movement off the tee. He scored 68 points including a quiet birdie at the 10th hole.

"John needs to learn to be a showman out there," says playing partner Joey Curtis. "He has the game and should be proud of it. He needs to address the fans who are routing for him. A tip of the hat or fist pump would be a great addition to the Virtual Tournament."
