PERU, IN — With the recent announcement of Rock Hollow Golf Club and Peru as the choice venue for the 2008 Carl Spackler Open Championship, the Captains Club has started releasing the itinerary stocked full of golf, services and entertainment.

Homer's Sports Bar & Fun Center immediately landed in the crowded Carl Spackler Open docket. "We cannot be anymore excited about Indiana and the opportunities Peru provides us," said Kevin Long, Jr.. "We plan to literally hit Homer's on Wednesday Night with our welcome party."

Homer's is a very large facility built on the bank of the Wabash River. The sports bar is full stocked with alcohol and food. The outdoor screened-in patio is also available for 60 to 80 patrons.

"You would think a sports bar and restaurant would be enough for participants after a tournament round," says Long. "However, Peru provides a great opportunity to broaden our entertainment like never before. Homer's Sports Bar also include a game room complete with four pool tables, foosball table, and air hockey table."

The table games will be available throughout tournament week in the evenings as additional entertainment.

"The bar, covered patio, and game room is a tremendous opportunity for providing broad entertainment nearly 24-hours per day," said Long with a smile. "However, we plan to deliver the broadest entertainment in event history this year. The Captains Club with help from Homer's Sports Bar & Fun Center will offer a bowling alley for record high evening activities."

The attached bowling alley is not down the hall or across the parking lot either, but through a simple accessible door attached to the sports bar. The 12+ alleys within Homer's will be available throughout tournament week.

Chris Milam of Charlotte, NC asked, "Is there anything else?" Long replied, "Yes. The entire facility also provides music through dj, live bands, or karoke depending on day of week and time of year."

Milam repied, "How about beer? How much for a Bud Light?"

"Almost forgot!" shouted Long. "Thanks Chris. We are talking El cheapo! The tournament field can expect 8-year low pricing for entertainment, food, and beverage."

Milam replied, "Your kidding?" Long replied back. "Nope. We are still in negotiations, but expect a draft at $1.00 and pitchers of beer at $7.00. Domestic bottles are more expensive, but very reasonable. A Corona bottle is $3.00."

The entire facility is expected to be the highlighted entertainment for at least Wednesday night as tournament participants arrive into town for the 8th Major Championship.

"There are a lot of opportunities for us in Peru," said Kevin. "More than anyone would think possible. Homer's is one of many opportunities. We will be reviewing our vast list of opportunities, working with vendors, and capitalizing where possible."

The 2008 Carl Spackler Open Championship is scheduled for June 5. Official registration will begin on November 15 with postmarked deadline by December 28. Excited participants can send their non-refundable non-transferable $120 to Rick Dosky as early as today.
