Record-Low Beverage Prices

October 8, 2007

PERU, IN — On behalf the Captains Club, Jeremy Myers continued to release details surrounding the 8th Major Championship scheduled for June at Rock Hollow Golf Club. Myers gladly took the responsibility of releasing financials surrounding alcohol and general beverage.

"Beverages including beer, water, gatorade, and soda will be cheapest in event history," said with a big smile. "This will include evenings and even the Rock Hollow clubhouse."

The Captains Club negotiated price per beer from the clubhouse at $2.00 per beer with bottled water at $1.00. The price per beer drops 12 percent from our previous record low at the Grande and Mountain Valley.

"My two cases of beer is finally under $100," said a delighted Myers. "The beverage cart girls should be happy with our consumption levels." Senior Member Marty Zabonik asked, "Do you think the course will have enough beer this year?" Myers replied, "With record-low pricing, we are stressing the importance of a fully stocked beer truck prior to our arrival."

The price per beverage in Michigan soared a staggering 625 percent from 2006, which demonstrated the true value of The Neuse and Tanglewood Park, which allowed the personal purchase of beverage.

"There will not be bulk purchasing of beer this year with already record-low clubhouse prices," said Don Creighton, Vice President of Safe Transportation. "We are working with limo, bus, and taxi vendors for service from the golf course."

In addition to the clubhouse, participants can expect a very very very small lounge in the hotel with very cheap drink specials each evening to surprise even Matt Davis. The nightly entertainment in Peru will also provide record-low price per beverage.

"The price per beer in Peru is low enough to double-fist," said Jeremy Myers. "I am expecting the overall puking to increase by 300 percent. I also expect the "face down and unconscious" golfers just off the first tee to double."

The price per beer from Michigan nightly entertainment will drop sharply by 40 to 60 percent. Negotiated draft beers are expected to be $1.00 with pitchers of beer at $7.00. The record-low pricing in Peru ensures very little beverage will be purchased with the tournament fee.

A proposed bus, limo or taxi service is expected to be available throughout Wednesday, Thursday, and Saturday nights.

Marty Zabonik shouted, "Mike Davis could not even see last year because of high consumption. Do you think he need to purchase a tournament breathalyzer?"

Long replied, "Tournament behaviors continue to amaze me after 7 years. You keep thinking you have seen it all, but you never do. A tournament breathalyzer is a great idea for the parking lots. At least it is a great idea until you consider Gumby is our police officer and should be administering the tests. With that said, I would say no."

The 2008 Carl Spackler Open Championship begins registration on November 15. The tournament is expected to sign between 60-72 golfers. There are 240 days before the opening round.
