WILLIAMSBURG, VA — The clock will not stop and the 2nd annual Carl Spackler Open is less than 29 days from Round 1.  Matt Davis, Jason Watson, Don McFarland and Don Cook are some of the players going after their first Golden Jacket and the Championship Trophy.  They are players with a chance and are not about to miss a golden opportunity.

"This is the big one", said Watson.  "There are not many major championships and this one has a field that is well respected.  Garrett, Flanagan, McFarland...  I have been looking forward to this one for a while."  Jason Watson will register the new 2002 Tight Lies as one of his 13 clubs.  He has not played the Tight Lies since 1999.

Don McFarland is also bringing some new clubs to the tournament.  "My new set of Pings are pretty good.  If good clubs get in the hands of a good player, only good things will happen as a result.  I expect great things."  Don purchased the irons on a 60 month payment plan.  "These clubs will be all mine in 2007, however a tournament win could speed up the payoff by two full years."

The Open Championship is scheduled to commence in Williamsburg, VA at the Colonial Golf Club.  The tournament will consist of 72 holes with a field of 18 players.
