COLUMBUS, OH — The small city of Mount Sterling, KY will host the 2014 Carl Spackler Open. Rick Dosky announced the required trip fee on behalf of the Captains Club Halloween night from his home near Westerville, OH.

"I am happy with our budget and values achieved," said Rick Dosky, Chief Financial Officer of the Captains Club. "I am so glad the planning for this year is done. Everything now seems to be in the hands of the participants for three to four months."

The 14th major championship will be held at Old Silo Golf Club and administrated within a mile.

"The cost for the 54-hole tournament is once again affordable," said Dosky. "With group size, anything is possible. Our required fee of $424.00 is a small 2 percent increase from 2013.

We had an opportunity in Kentucky this year and capitalizing on it.

We have also included the traditional unprecedented services, lodging, and reasonable entertainment to this year's package. I am very pleased with the overall quality of everything."

The package includes range balls each day before play. It also includes, but not limited to $4,000+ in prizes and giveaways, 5 meals, bag storage, entertainment, four rounds at Old Silo, and 4 nights lodging.

Ground transportation between hotel, nightlife, and course are a minute from one another. The tournament will not provide ground transportation for the second time in 9 years.

The registration process is online. The deposit will be $120 per player, which is non-refundable, non-transferable, and reserves you a spot in the talented field of players. The winner's prize has not yet been determined, however Golden Jacket, Horses Ass Trophy, Kitchen Pass Award and Championship Trophy will return.

"We are seizing a tremendous opportunity once again to eliminate 'too much money' as a reason to skip this year's tournament," said Rick Dosky. "I am more than satisfied with this year's fee and the overall budget."

The golf tournament is expecting attendance to be somewhere between 60 and 80 golfers. The golf event is expecting a basic budget around $40,000.
