BINGHAMTON, NY — The Captains Club announced today the details surrounding the second participant option for the 2012 Carl Spackler Open. The event will offer  participants the option to purchase a tee marker for their yard.

"We are collecting an order for tee markers," says Captains Club member Tom McCauley. "There were dozens of guys who asked about them for their yard last year at Mountain Valley. We have taken this perceived demand and returned with a participant option."

The tee markers will be purchased if a reasonable order exists on March 31. The cost of each tee marker is $24.00.

"The marker looks fantastic in my yard," says Mike Northway. "My wife loves it." Northway was asked several times to wait for this spring to order a marker for his yard. He pressed the Captains Club last year until the club sold him a marker for $50.00.

"There was demand last year," says CFO Rick Dosky. "We will see how things will go in March."

The 2012 Carl Spackler Open will be held at Conklin Players Club. The 36 tee markers will be in attendance and mark the 6,450 yards to be played in the golf tournament. There are 64 or 68 golfers expected for the 12th annual event. Participant options will be available in March 2012.
