March 25, 2013
SNOWSHOE, WV — The 2013 Carl Spackler Open begins in 73 days and the second phase of the tournament ends this weekend. The participant options started on March 1 with nearly half the golfers communicating their desires by mid-March. There are is 7 days left to complete options by March 31.
The vast majority of the remaining logo golf shirts in the event inventory were sold in the first week of the participant option selection process. The event also sold a large portion of the ball markers, coolers, and umbrellas.
"Most of the options will be removed from selection on April 1," says senior member Bill Bateson. "Outstanding balances are due in the mail to Rick Dosky two weeks later." The participant balances page will display all payments, credits, and expenses when a golfer is signed into the website.
"Our staff has put together a strong package," added Bateson. "A lot of work and now it is your turn. Finalize your options and get your money in."
The online options can be selected by visiting www.carlspackleropen.com, signing-in, and clicking on "PLAN YOUR TRIP TODAY" graphic. All players are encouraged to fill them out, however the show will go on regardless.
"Golfers can click 'Pay Balance' to view their detailed balance," says Bateson. "The tools and information to pay the balance is also located at the web page. Outstanding balances must be postmarked by April 15, 2013."
The 2013 Carl Spackler Open begins first round play on Friday, June 7. There are 68 or 72 golfers expected to attend the annual event.
