BARNESVILLE, PA — The Captains Club announced today that the Mountain Valley's Mainstay Suites will host the players of the 2017 Carl Spackler Open. The hotel was chosen for price and more importantly distance to golf course.

"We are very pleased with the location of the hotel and their ability to host our participants inside as many as 40 non-smoking rooms," says Captains Club member Greg Garrett. "The hotel was an easy selection after a very quick tour. The proximity to Mountain Valley and its complientary shuttle service sealed the deal."

There are just 27 rooms with two queen beds. Another 12 suites were reserved, which have a king bed and sofa bed. The rooms include a deluxe breakfast. Breakfast includes eggs, sausage, bacon, yogart, fruit, cereal, bagels, juice, coffee, and more.

"The shuttle service is a big deal," says Captains Club member Greg Long. "The location of the hotel is at the I-81 exit."

The 2017 Carl Spackler Open will be held at Mountain Valley Golf Course in nearby Barnesville, PA. The 4-day event will begin with its practice round on July 12. There are 70 to 80 participants expect to partake in the 17th annual birthday party.
