WILLIAMSBURG, VA — Carl Spackler Open.com, a leading provider of online golf services and owner of the Official Carl Spackler Open Championship has started the release of its 2002 coveted awards.  As the "70 days left" milestone passes today, the Captains Club has released the first of many awards.  The first award is the very important Horses Ass Award that will distinguish the personality of a player during the tournament which best describes a "horses ass".

Jay Dilks of the Captains Club was tasked with what everyone thought to be the impossible.  The award that would bring out the worst in anyone.  "It took some thought.  You really can't target stupidity, drunken acts, Pokey or poor golf.  You really got to open things up with a statement that will be heard around the world."

The founder of the PWRP, Matt Davis, was pleased to hear the award would not identify the most out-of-control drunk considering his history.  "I'm glad that this award is open to almost anyone.  I was really starting to worry about this one.  Myers and Flanagan are bigger asses than me and I'll really need to do something special to win this one."

The horses ass award will be determined after completion of Round 4.  The Captains Club and tournament honoree will vote on the award winner.  Based on the results, the Honoree will announce the finalists and why they were considered.  Only after the finalists are released will the Tournament Honoree release the winner's name and present the trophy.
