MARSHALL, MI — The eagerly awaited 23rd annual Carl Spackler Open, a nationally renowned golf tournament, has officially opened its doors for registration, promising yet another thrilling, social, and competitive experience for golf enthusiasts. The Captains Club, responsible for organizing this prestigious event, has shared a list of essential details for potential participants to secure their spots and join the excitement.

"There are a handful of very important items for all our participants," says Captains Club member Matt Pritchard. "First: Deposits are now $200. Do not send $150. Second: There are 80 to 92 spots for the Michigan event, depending on paid single occupancy room upgrades. Spots above the first 80 will be added in groups of four. Third: Everyone should visit their golf profile and test their email address and cell phone connectivity for event-related messages. Lastly, we ask you register online."

The registration period, which begins on December 1, will remain open until April 1, 2024. All registrants are expected to acquaint themselves with the roster acceptance procedure to ensure a smooth process.

The Captains Club initiated a proactive approach in 2022 to accommodate the limited space available for participants. Their Roster Acceptance Process addresses tournament rosters to include 40, 60, and 92 golfers, ensuring a broad range of players can enjoy the event.

Bill Bateson, a dedicated member of the Captains Club, exclaimed, "Let's kick things off and start discussing the Spackler event while reaching for your checkbooks. Make sure to thoroughly read and understand the registration process to avoid missing out on the excitement."

All the essential tournament details, including rules, schedules, and contact information, are readily accessible to the public on the official tournament website, Interested golfers can visit the website, click "Register Now!", and follow the user-friendly step-by-step instructions. The registration process, while familiar, has undergone significant improvements, making it even more convenient for golfers to complete. The entire process should take around 15 minutes to complete.

This year, the Captains Club emphasizes the importance of careful consideration during the registration process. Jason Ridgeway, another dedicated member of the Captains Club, emphasized, "This year is exceptional, and we cannot stress enough the need to read and understand the registration process thoroughly. The event is uses a roster acceptance process with spots available for 80 to 92 participants."

The 23rd annual Carl Spackler Open is scheduled to take place from June 5 to June 8 at the prestigious Medalist Golf Club in Marshall, Michigan. Organizers are anticipating a turnout of 64 to 80 enthusiastic golfers, setting the stage for a thrilling and highly competitive event.

All registrants will be listed in the 'Rumor Mill' section, indicating their interest in participating. While roster space exists, all registrants who designate 25% attendance probablity will be added to the 2024 Carl Spackler Open roster during their designated phase on the Roster Worksheet.

Deposits for accepted participants become non-refundable and non-transferrable starting five months before the event. Detailed information regarding the credit eligibility policy for future events is available on the tournament website.

Rick Dosky, a Captains Club member, explained, "Deposits received will be posted to your account under your last event played. The website is designed to track any excess funds and roll them forward. We recommend monitoring our website to ensure your funds are allocated to the current or your last attended event."

The 2024 Carl Spackler Open promises to be a 108-hour extravaganza, featuring a 54-hole golf tournament and a practice round. Participants will have the option to select various add-ons, including golf rules, replay rounds, roommates, playing partners, and apparel purchases.
