SUMMERHILL, PA — Chuck Long, the winner of the 2005 Horses Ass Award, brother Kevin, and rookie Bill Schrift are in search for green grass and warmer climate.

The Spackler members are among 12 guys on their annual March golf trip. They left Friday and scheduled to return this week with plenty of scorecards. The play schedule is completely dependent on weather.

"We have no idea where we will play prior to the trip," said Chuck Long, Sr.. "We watch the forecasts and just drive around. We might play the Neuse. I played there about a month ago. Maybe Georgia. Maybe South Carolina."

The 3 members are expected to jump into the 2006 Virtual Tournament next week with their scorecard entries. The 7-day trip usually results in 5-9 rounds per golfer.

In other news... Jean Dore continues to struggle after a stellar 2005 season. Jean scored a dismal 10 points on February 25 at the Signature at West Neck. In addition, Scott Zavinski continues his slide towards 2nd place.

"Zavinski is a paper champion," says Joe Butkus. "He is folding like a house of cards."

The 2006 Virtual Tournament moves into March with 7 golfers on the leaderboard.
