Closest to the Pin
As opposed to previous years' Closest to Pin competition, the 2006 event promises to be a more expeditious process yet it looses none of its attraction. Each golfer will still be faced with the same pressure of hitting their ball in front of there peers BUT there is a bit of a twist this year.
Instead of hitting two shots by yourself, each golfer will get a single shot and will hit in groups of 8. Each golfer will be provided a ball with their identification on it. The golfers will be called out and lined up for their stroke. A countdown will sounded off and all 8 will swing together.
After all 8 shifts have completed their attempts, the winner will be announced. Yes, balls will be moved by other shots. Yes, it is completely within the rules to knock a ball away from the hole or closer to the hole with your shot.
