Contest Winners Announced
July 30, 2002
PITTSBURGH, PA — The final winner in the 'I don't have to share a bed with Sokos' contest was determined today as Mark Kaniecki paid in full for this year's event. For those who may not recall, the first thirteen Loozers who paid the entire cost of the trip were awarded the luxury option of not having to share a bed with Sokos.
When told of his prize, Mark commented, "That's good to hear. I've heard Gus snores a lot when he's been up drinking Knob all night. Not that I would notice since I slept through last year's screening of Spitters, Vol. 7, but you never know when you're going to be a little restless."
Grundo did not seem disappointed that he was not a winner. "I shared a room with Sokos at WVU for a year. It would not be the end of the world to share a bed with him for a couple nights. He can't smell any worse than my children's diapers."
Since Gus was one of the first thirteen to pay in full and has to share a bed with himself, he was given the option to pick a Loozer not to bunk with for the weekend. "It has to be McFarland. I don't think I have to give an explanation. I was thinking of paying his last $60 for him so he would be one of the winners. It gave me extra incentive to pay on time when I found out I was given the option. I'm kind of glad Elvis was one of the winners too. He's a good guy and everything, but two large individuals such as ourselves in one of those beds for a weekend? I think not."

Jeff Blankenburg - rookie
Max - reigning MVL
Elvis
