ROANOKE, VA — The Captains Club proudly announced that member Chris Price of Roanoke, VA has signed a letter of intent to play golf at the Carl Spackler Open. The 2-year member will be traveling further than 60 miles this year, which is the largest change for Price.

"This is an awesome golf tournament and love the opportunity to bring home a trophy, purse, and jacket," said Price.

Chris Price finished in a very strong 8th position last June. "He seemed to just keep playing better with each day," says Jeff Tatum. "I was very impressed with his rookie tournament."

Price has been struggling with his swing and ball flight going to the right for years. "The 'Price has been Right' throughout my golfing career," says Price. "You can pretty much count on it. Learning to play the shot left of left has done wonders for keeping the ball in play."

Chris purchased a round trip ticket to San Antonio, TX back in February. Price will be spending April 14 on the Riverwalk in downtown San Antonio. He will be part of a 11-golfer group spending the night and arriving to Laguna Vista by 11:30AM on Thursday.

"Are we really leaving in a week," says Price regarding his trip to Texas. "Can someone pinch me?"

The 2010 Carl Spackler Open will be hosting its annual practice round on Thursday, April 15 with 51 golfers. There is a player meeting scheduled on Friday morning at 7:00AM CST.
