BOSTON, MA — The Carl Spackler business office announced today that zero participants have withdrawn by March 2010. The 7-year string of at least one cancellation has come to an end. The Captains Club also held a news conference to announce the signing of Dan Obendorfer after receiving his National Letter of Intent to play golf in the 2010 Carl Spacker Open.

Obendorfer will once again represent the state of Massachusetts. He returns after placing 77th in a field of 88 golfers.

"There are a lot of rookies and 2nd year players coming to Texas," says Kevin Long, Jr.. "Dan is just another player that better be ready to play some strong golf or suffer the consequences of the Outfits. I would be very nervous with the dreadful Carl Spackler Outfit lerking. Obendorfer posted 15 snowmen and 11 hockey sticks in Amherst, VA. "This ability to keep his scores under 9 is very impressive," adds Long. "He

He posted three pars during his rookie tournament. "The back-to-back pars were something special," says Obendorder, referring to the 13th and 14th holes at Poplar Grove Golf Club. "The long putt at the 13th hole set off a chain of impressive shots."

Obendorfer also parred the 7th hole during the final round.

"Spackler is without doubt the highlight of my short and illustrious golf career," said Dan from his home in Allston, MA. "A golden jacket in my closet would be something to relish for decades."

The final tournament is expected to be 51 golfers from 15 different states including Texas, South Carolina, Wisconsin, Missouri, and Illinois.

Dan Obendorder registers as the 44th participant. There are 51 or 52 participants expected to participate in the 2010 Carl Spackler Open. The annual player meeting is scheduled for Friday, April 16. There are just 15 days left before the annual practice round.
