4-man Scramble

The 4-man Scramble will be played on Friday afternoon and evening. It will be teed using a shotgun format with two four-man teams (eightsomes) on each hole. There are 18 teams, 9 eightsomes, and 9 starting holes.

The size and skill of each team has been handicapped. Those handicaps are available online under HANDICAPS. We will be using Poststats Points to determine the winner.

Each participant will be granted one "throw" during the round. A "throw" is an advancement of the team ball without taking a stroke. The ball must be thrown with your hand/arm and there are no running starts. Both feet must remain on the ground throughout the throw. There are no mulligan throws and a ball advanced into the sand trap will be played from the sand trap.

The following participants will tee from the tips or black tees on each and every hole. Bob Morris, Tim Davis, Greg Long, Mike Davis, Matt Davis, Kevin Long, Trent Cooper, Jay Glover, Greg Garrett, Andy Hanks, Jon Sabat, Marty Zabonik, Jack Schone, Mike Pugh, Rich Armstrong, Mike Gibson, Fernando Martinez, Mark Wray, Jay Dilks, Harold Anderson, Barry Cedarquist, Jason Ridgeway, Rob Harvey, Chris Philipsen, Jeff Miller, Joe Muscaro, Matt Pritchard, Matt Mogel, Allan Hench, Jean Dore, and Bill Bateson.

The remainder of the participants have (1) indicated they cannot hit a golf ball 226 yards or (2) have a stroke handicap higher than 16.4 strokes and cannot hit a golf ball 251 yards. These 42 participants will tee from the 'Rock' tees, which include participants older than 50 years.

For the record... Jason Watson, John McAninch, and Kelly Smith have a Top 18 stroke handicap. They have indicated they cannot hit a golf ball 226 yards.

The eightsome format is designed for additional camaraderie and fun. It will naturally slow down pace of play. Please do what you can to keep a 4 1/2 hour round. This can involve telling your best friend to move faster for the best interests of the golf trip.
