ASHTABULA, OH — The Carl Spackler Open has signed another athlete to compete in 2003 major championship.  "Gus has tremendous success at the national level," noted Vice President of Player Recruitment, Jason Watson. "Gus showcased his accuracy, short game prowess and course management skills this past fall at Golfapalooza with his 22nd place finish.

Gus is very strong off the tee and has shown great ball control.  Combined with his mental toughness from the Pittsburgh marathon, he has the ability to shoot +35 rounds every time he tees it up.  These two will add great depth to our field and I look for them to make an immediate impact."

In other news, Don McFarland, Greg Long, Jeff Cowan and Don Crile are scheduled to tee up at the Players Club this Friday afternoon.  Don McFarland's last trip to the Players carded a 109 and Jeff Cowan's last trip carded a 74 on the front nine.  Both expect to patten their NOOG points just in time.
