CHOCOWINITY, NC — The Captains Club announced today that the selection period for the third and final set of participant options is now open. The options will collect a confirmation of golf rules, beverage preferences, food preferences, mobile scoring signup, and mobile website setup.

"The Telegram Messenger confirmation remains open to hopefully catch non-responsive participants," said Captains Club member Chad Long. "Our highest priority remains the ability to communciate real-time with a new group texting program. Our second priority is to ensure everyone is ready to go with our mobile website."

The participant options also include confirmation of the hotel alcohol policy, transportation schedule, and confirmation of basic golf rules.

This is the final of three participant option collections. The Captains Club will close this set of options in early-June.

Participants who continue to be non-responsive will have decisions made for them," added Long. "Responses to our basic golf rules and mobile scoring help will be large contributors to the 2024 Roster Worksheet."

The Carl Spackler Open is going through a transformation that includes engaged participants who want to participate in a competitive golf tournament.

The 2023 Carl Spackler Open will be held at Cypress Landing Golf Course in Chocowinity, North Carolina. There are 84 golfers expected to participate. The golf course is expected to have white staked hazards and Par 3 drop zones for the first time in several years.
