What Matters, Matters

September 3, 2004

WINSTON-SALEM, NC — "What matters?", you ask.  "What matters, matters", says Stacey Bartlett, owner of the 2001 Green Jacket, and winner of the last 3 two-man scrambles.  "Golfapalooza is the pinnacle of my golfing season.  Actually, it is my season."

Stacey Bartlett is scheduled to arrive at Golfapalooza in 20 days with desire to cook omelets and with a putting skill that has captured emotions of many including playing partner Greg Long.

"My game is rock solid this year", says Bartlett.  "I made sure my partner will be attendance for our 4th straight best ball championship and I was out with the family practicing my putting at Magic Mountain last weekend.  You can engrave the trophies early."

Bartlett also won the Green Jacket in 2001 with poor execution on the golf course.  "That will never happen to me again," says Bartlett.  "My iron game is too solid for that kind of play.  I used to be terrible from the fairways."

Golfapalooza begins in 20 days in Terra Alta, WV.  The field of 22 players will play 54 holes starting September 23 at Alpine Lake Resort.
